Like other forms of commercial insurance, cyber insurance offers businesses the opportunity to invest in their protection, but decision-makers do not always have in-depth knowledge of the extent of the risks and associated needs or the extent of policies’ coverage.
In the Legal Cyber Academy webinar “Understanding Cyber Insurance: Assessing the Risk, Part 2 of 2,” a Pasich attorney discussed what companies need to know about cyber insurance, including types of policies, what to consider when purchasing a policy, how arbitration can be applied in cyber disputes and current case trends.
They represent commercial policyholders in complex insurance coverage matters with an increasing focus on recovery strategies in relation to cyber breaches and cybercrime. He has helped clients pursue insurance coverage for business e-mail compromise schemes, cybercrimes, data breaches, fraudulent e-mails, invoice manipulation schemes, phishing and whaling attacks, ransomware attacks, privacy and statutory liability, and technology E&O disputes. They were a Faculty Member with the Global Cyber Institute and received a Harvard VPAL certificate for completing “Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age.”
