Nathan M. Davis is a partner and member of the firm’s insurance recovery practice.  Nathan has extensive experience in complex and high-profile litigation in state and federal courts nationwide, successfully representing clients from notable personalities in the entertainment industry to Fortune 500 companies.  His practice focuses on representing insureds in all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation disputes to post-trial and appellate matters.  A seasoned mediator, Nathan also is adept at advising clients with respect to settlement considerations and options available to resolve disputes.  Concomitant to his years of high-profile litigation, Nathan is attuned to crisis and brand management, and protecting his clients’ positions in the media and respective industries permeates his practice.  Nathan’s experience is particularly deep in art law, class action and multidistrict litigation, food labeling and unfair competition law, defamation law, and issues arising from the #MeToo movement.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Nathan worked in the arts and entertainment industries at the Whitney Museum of American Art and at the Apollo Theater in New York City, and in the press offices of Sotheby’s auction houses in Madrid and Paris.  In law school, Nathan was Senior Notes Editor for the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal, and the law faculty presented him with the Benjamin N. Cardozo Writing Award for exceptional written achievement.  Also while in law school, Nathan spent a year as a judicial extern for the Honorable Joan M. Azrack in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  In 2013, the State Bar of California presented Nathan with the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for dedication to pro bono representation.  Southern California Super Lawyers has recognized Nathan as a Rising Star each year since 2015.
