Partner Peter Halprin spoke on the panel “Understanding What is Cyber Insurance, How to Buy Cyber Insurance and Things to Remember,” presented to Chicago-Kent College of Law on April 13, 2022. The panel discussed an overview of cybersecurity insurance; strategies for negotiating coverage; survey of risks most lawyers do not consider; strategies for breach remediation and management; and obligations included in policies to keep coverage in force.

Halprin represents commercial policyholders in complex insurance coverage matters with an increasing focus on recoveries related to cyber breaches and cybercrime. He is a frequent writer and speaker on cyber insurance topics, a Faculty Member with the Global Cyber Institute, and recently completed a Harvard VPAL course entitled “Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age.”
