Ransomware Takes Center Stage – A Pasich Attorney Discusses the Issue with Insurance Journal’s Insuring Cyber Podcast
Amid the ongoing pandemic, businesses are also being forced to grapple with another scourge: ransomware. An explosion of attacks has led state regulators and federal officials to elevate their focus on ransomware, with The White House announcing a number of recent initiatives.
“I think the takeaway is hopefully help is on the way and that companies are not being left to simply fend for themselves because the government is going to make enforcement and pursuit of these actors a priority,” a Pasich attorney said on Insurance Journal’s Insuring Cyber Podcast.
Even with government support, he advises businesses to be proactive and to invest now in the infrastructure, technology, staff and training necessary to manage these risks.
