The Federal Declaratory Judgment Act: Applications in Insurance Coverage Disputes – Jeffrey Schulman and Tae Andrews Present Lawline CLE Program
In their Lawline CLE course geared toward an audience of experienced litigators and insurance coverage attorneys, Partner Jeffrey Schulman and Senior Managing Associate Tae Andrews explored the Federal Declaratory Judgment Act through the prism of insurance coverage disputes. The program explained how the statute works, why insurance coverage disputes often implicate the Act and analyzed various abstention doctrines under which federal courts may refrain from exercising their discretion to entertain actions brought under the statute. The attorneys also illustrated how the legal concepts discussed apply in recent and current litigation.
