Partners Peter Halprin and Jeffrey Schulman Recognized as 2021 Northeast Trailblazers by The American Lawyer

The American Lawyer Northeast Trailblazers recognition spotlights select individuals who are truly agents of change and have moved the needle in the legal industry. Partners Peter A. Halprin and Jeffrey L. Schulman were selected to the 2021 list for their groundbreaking work in insurance.

Peter was recognized for his work in connection with insurance recoveries for businesses impacted by the pandemic. In addition to his work on behalf of clients, The American Lawyer credited Peter’s creation and organization of the “The COVID-19 Insurance Litigation Virtual Summit,” a first-of-its-kind conference in July 2020. The Summit covered a broad range of topics, including the state of pandemic insurance litigation, legislative and regulatory responses, the perspective from the United Kingdom, alternative dispute resolution, emerging pandemic insurance issues, and insurance claim preparation.

Jeffrey was recognized for his continued work representing high-profile individuals, organizations and religious institutions in coverage disputes relative to the #metoo movement and arising from allegations of sexual misconduct. Among others, he was a member of the team representing Bill Cosby, currently represents Harvey Weinstein, and is an insurance professional on the Tort Claimants Committee in the Boy Scouts of America bankruptcy.
