Merck’s Insurance Win After Malware Attack Provides Guideposts – Peter Halprin Authors Bloomberg Law Article

A New Jersey intermediate appellate court held May 1 that Merck & Co. was entitled to insurance coverage for damages suffered in 2017 as a result of malware known as NotPetya. In his article for Bloomberg Law, Partner Peter Halprin discusses three practical takeaways of the ruling for corporate purchasers of cyber and property insurance products which include a standard war exclusion.
