Insurance Law: Mid-Year Update – Tae Andrews Presents CLE Program for Practising Law Institute

Jun. 10, 2024

Several insurance trends emerged in the first half of 2024, including a series of procedural victories by policyholders fighting back against declaratory judgment lawsuits filed by their insurers. These decisions provide guidance for other policyholders in similar predicaments. In addition, several new kinds of underlying claims have emerged against policyholders, including lawsuits seeking damages allegedly caused by social-media addiction and climate change.

In his CLE program for Practising Law Institute, Counsel Tae Andrews analyzed legal issues presented by these cases, examined the legal reasoning behind the outcomes, and predicted future coverage battles for the second half of this year and beyond.
