Insurance Journal Interviews A Pasich Attorney on How New York Became a Leader in State Cyber Regulation

Feb. 05, 2021

Insurance Journal editor Elizabeth Blosfield interviewed a Pasich attorney on the Insuring Cyber Podcast about New York’s leadership in state cyber regulation and insurance coverage for cyber regulatory actions.  They represent commercial policyholders in complex insurance coverage matters including those involving cyber breaches and cyber crime.

On the podcast, they discussed the New York Department of Financial Services’ (DFS) issuance of cyber regulations (known as Part 500) and the DFS’ regulatory action against First American Title Insurance Company. They described Part 500 as “a tsunami through the world of financial services” and noted that the DFS regulatory action should cause risk professionals “to pause, reflect, and think about what may come and what we should expect in the U.S.” and beyond.
