Pasich LLP Elects New Managing Partner, Moves New York Office and Elevates Three Attorneys to Partnership

Jan. 03, 2022

Effective January 1, 2022, Pasich LLP, has elected Jeffrey L. Schulman as the firm's Managing Partner; moved its New York office into a larger, more centrally located space near Bryant Park; and elevated Nathan Davis, Jacquelyn Mohr Heitman, and Christopher Pasich to Partner.

Schulman Takes Reins from Kirk Pasich

Resident in the New York office, and successor of Kirk Pasich, who served as Managing Partner since the firm’s inception in 2017, Schulman will oversee the firm’s three offices, including two in California.  Considered an agent of change in insurance recovery litigation, he has represented commercial and individual policyholders in complex insurance coverage matters for almost two decades.

“Jeff is pragmatic and a creative thinker and will draw from his experience as both a large national law firm partner and as a solo practitioner to implement his long-term vision for the firm,” commented Kirk Pasich, who will continue practicing as Partner.  “Our partnership has the utmost trust in his leadership skills, and his strategic mindset will benefit both our clients and staff.”

“I have learned so much from Kirk as a lawyer and mentor, and look forward to building on the firm values he established during his tenure,” said Schulman.  “I’m also grateful for the confidence my partners have in me to take the reins and propel the firm forward.”

New York Office Moves Location to Support Growth

Pasich LLP relocated its New York office to 286 Madison Avenue, Suite 401, a larger, more centrally located office.  Taking on an expanded office space gives the firm an opportunity to continue growth and underscores the firm’s commitment to the New York market.

Three Partners Elevated to Partnership, Bucking the Traditional Law Firm Pyramid Model

The firm has also elevated Los Angeles-based attorneys Nathan Davis, Jacquelyn Mohr Heitman, and Christopher Pasich to Partner.

“This is the first partner elevation since Pasich LLP’s founding, and includes a talented group of attorneys with diverse legal backgrounds,” Schulman commented.  Unlike many law firms, Pasich LLP is not committed to the pyramid model, as this will mark 12 partners of the firm's 16 attorneys.  “We have a sophisticated practice, and these attorneys bring the necessary high-level expertise that results in success for our clients.”

Nathan Davis (Los Angeles) has extensive experience in complex, high-profile litigation in state and federal courts nationwide, successfully representing clients from notable personalities in the entertainment industry to Fortune 500 companies.  His practice focuses on representing insureds in all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation disputes through post-trial and appellate matters.  A seasoned mediator, Davis is also adept at advising clients with respect to settlement considerations and options available to resolve disputes.  He obtained his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif.

Jacquelyn Mohr Heitman (Manhattan Beach) represents commercial and individual clients in a wide range of complex coverage disputes, including coverage advice, pre-litigation disputes, international arbitrations, and coverage litigation.  Her insurance coverage work includes first- and third-party claims, bad faith litigation and indemnity recovery.  She has helped insureds recover hundreds of millions of dollars in wrongfully denied insurance proceeds and related damages.  Mohr earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School.

Christopher Pasich (Los Angeles) has litigated matters in state and federal courts nationwide, in addition to engaging in arbitrations in the United Kingdom and United States.  He has represented insureds in claims under directors and officers liability insurance, first-party property insurance, commercial general liability insurance, homeowners insurance and disability insurance policies.  In addition to his insurance coverage work, Pasich has experience asserting and defending against a wide variety of claims, including breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition and intellectual property claims.  He obtained his J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
